1. I request that Fiji Performing Right Association Limited of 66 McGregor Road, Suva collect licence fees on my behalf in respect of Mechanical and Synchronization Rights to be assigned to FIPRA in the musical works of which I am the copyright owner (Works).
2. I appoint FIPRA to be my agent to:
(a) exercise the Rights in the Works; and
(b) collect and recover fees for such use.
3. I acknowledge that I will not receive distributions of fees until I am admitted as a member of FIPRA. I agreed to FIPRA applying its usual commission rates to fees that are to be distributed to me.
4. For the purpose of collecting and recovering fees, or if there is any unauthorized exercise of any of the Rights in the Works, I authorize FIPRA to commence such proceedings in my name as it may decide including recovery of fees or damages and injunctions to restrain unauthorized use.
5. I will supply FIPRA on the form required by FIPRA from time to time with the title of each musical work of which I am the author or owner of the Rights. I acknowledge that FIPRA is not under any obligation or liability to me in respect of any musical works of which I have failed to notify the relevant details.
6. I warrant that:
(a) the information to be provided by me to FIPRA under this grant of authority will be complete and correct; and
(b) none of the Works infringes any copyright in any other work.
7. I indemnify FIPRA against all damages, losses, costs and expenses incurred by FIPRA arising out of any breach by me of a warranty contained in clause 6 above.
8. I will immediately notify FIPRA of any change in my address.
9. This grant of authority may be revoked by me by not less than 3 months’ written notice to FIPRA.
