Protecting Music, Supporting Creators
Established in 1993, FIPRA is a non-profit organization dedicated to administering the performing rights of local composers and songwriters. Through a reciprocal agreement with APRA AMCOS, we also represent the rights of over 2 million international composers when their music is performed or broadcast in Fiji.
Copyright laws grant songwriters and composers exclusive rights to their work, ensuring they can earn a living from their creativity. Under the Fiji Copyright Act (1999), public performances, broadcasts, and online transmissions of music require proper authorization.
FIPRA ensures businesses and organizations can easily obtain music licences while making sure songwriters and composers receive fair royalties. If you use music in your business, visit our Music Users section to learn more about legal compliance and licensing.
