The Board of Directors of the Fiji Performing Rights Association (FIPRA) officially announces that the 2026 FIPRA Music Awardshas been postponed.
Initially scheduled for 23rd May, the premier event of the Fijian music industry will now take place on Saturday, 5th September 2026.
This decision was made in direct response to the current economic climate.
Despite the shift in timing, the Board of Directors remains dedicated to delivering a prestigious ceremony that honors the achievements of Fiji’s songwriters and performers.
Extending our timeline allows us to navigate the present economic pressures without compromising the integrity of the awards,” the Board stated. “Our priority is to host a high-quality event that provides our artists with the platform and recognition they deserve.
FIPRA extends its gratitude to its members, partners and the public for their patience and continued support of the Fijian music industry. Further details regarding ticket sales and the finalist shortlist will be released in the coming months.
